Awards/Honours

4x NHL All-Star

Honourable Mention: Evgeny Kuznetsov (2010, WSH), Cory Schneider (2004, VAN)

Another spot with no Hall of Famers, and no 1000+ point guys. Palffy’s my pick because despite having a relatively short career, he was more than a point-per-game scorer during the dead puck era, something not many other players were able to accomplish. I would have loved to see him play during the 80s, see what kind of numbers he could have put up there. There was no real competition for him, in my view, but I’ll mention Schneider, who probably would have been at least in the conversation for top spot if he hadn’t fallen off a cliff the last two seasons in Jersey. He could maybe still turn things around. And Kuznetsov has already proven how skilled he is. If he can keep it up for the next decade or so, he could take over as the best ever at this slot.
