Awards/Honours

2x Stanley Cup Champion
1995-96 NHL All-Rookie Team

Honourable Mention: Barry Pederson (1980, VAN)

Pickings were pretty slim at this spot. Sykora played 1000+ games, went to the finals 6 times, and won 2 Stanley Cups. Never a superstar, but a solid point-producer over the length of his career. Pederson wasn’t really competition, but his great first few seasons at least put him in the conversation, despite the way his career rapidly flamed out. At least he’ll always live on in the history books as the guy Vancouver traded a first round draft pick and future Hall of Famer Cam Neely for.
